Tribute wall and rememberance

Dr. Z, Thank you so much for being my first professor in graduate school, for believing in me, for teaching from personal experience. I have thought of you often in the time since we had class together and you will always have an impact on me, on the counselor I am becoming, on the human I am. Your passing still does not feel real and I cried when I heard, because I know the world is suffering a huge loss without your presence. I am not sure I would have been able to make it in this program if I had not had you for class on that first, nerve-wracking, fateful day. You were and continue to be a bright light whose warm energy is felt by all those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with you. I will honor your memory by being the very best counselor I can be and carrying forth all the lessons you taught me about helping others, about having boundaries and standing up for myself in my future profession, that empathy is our greatest strength and the reminder that we are all human. Sending you lots of love and gratitude always. "Thank you" could never be enough.
